Intensive Driving Courses in Louth

According to the Driving Standard Agency’s own statistics, the learner drivers who stand the best chance of passing are those that have had 40 hours of professional tuition and plenty of private practice. Mike’s School of Motoring in Louth realise that it is not practical for everyone to have private practice and therefore it may well be necessary to have more lessons. On the basis of one hour a week that is a minimum of 40 weeks, if additional lessons are needed at one a week you are looking at nearly a year!

In today’s world, people want everything with the minimum of delay and so the Intensive Course was devised to get the test passed in the shortest time possible. Now for someone with no experience whatsoever to do 40 hours in one week would mean driving for 8 hours a day for 5 days which is beyond most normal human beings. However, 4 hours a day over 2 weeks or 2 hours a day over 4 weeks is much more realistic.
Please see our pricing page for information on intensive Courses

Choosing Your Course

Your choice of course depends on your level of ability, whether you have driven before, how much driving you have done, how quickly you can absorb information and your availability. I would suggest you call or message me to discuss the most appropriate course for your individual needs!
I also strongly recommend an assessment drive of 1.5 hours so that I can advise which would be the best course for you. Of course, this advice would be given on the basis of the assessment drive only and it may be that additional lessons may be needed over the original course duration. If this is the case you would be advised at the earliest opportunity and any recommendation agreed with yourself.

Booking your driving test is dependent upon you passing your theory test. It is therefore important that you pass your theory test as soon as possible after starting your course. Help will be given with the theory test if required.

What to Expect

Each lesson will be structured to fit in with your previous lesson moving from the basic controls of the car, to moving the car, through junctions, roundabouts, traffic lights, moving on to slow speed manoeuvres and road craft all leading up to your driving test. You can expect plenty of encouragement, praise, support and help along the way.

It is important to remember that all of my lessons are personal to you which is why it is well worth your while to call me and discuss your needs personally, as it doesn’t always come down to just cost! In most cases, I can match and often beat other offers so it is worth asking the question!
